Payment
Before participating in an auction, you need to set up a valid payment method to ensure a smooth transaction process. Compute Exchange supports the following payment methods:
- Credit Card: Required for bidding and can be added anytime (including on the bid page).
Some additional payment methods at checkout when paying for your compute, include:
-
ACH
-
Bank transfers via SWIFT payments, which incur additional fees; for further information, please refer to the Stripe documentation.
Adding Payment Details
We recommend setting up your payment method in advance to avoid interruptions during bidding. To do so, follow the steps below:
-
Go to Settings
-
Open the *Payment Details- tab
-
Input your credit card information.
-
Input the billing information.
-
Click Save Details.
A notification will pop up confirming that the payment details were successfully added to your account.
Bidding Price Update Authorization
If you update an existing bid with a higher price, the system must verify the additional amount before proceeding.
-
When you increase your bid, you’ll be prompted to authorize an additional charge.
-
The system verifies:
-
The first payment installment of the original bid.
-
The updated first payment installment for the new bid.
-
-
A new card authorization is placed for the difference.
Compute Exchange verifies that your payment method can cover the increased amount. If the authorization fails, the bid update will not go through.
